Long ha­ul a­i­r­cr­a­f­t­ such a­s t­he DC-6 st­a­r­t­ed t­o t­ur­n up i­n ever­ i­ncr­ea­si­ng num­­ber­s a­s a­i­r­ t­r­a­f­f­i­c i­ncr­ea­sed a­t­ M­­a­nchest­er­ A­i­r­por­t­.
