As long you trust their sources and are fully aware of where your foods are from then there is no harm in approaching these retail chains. It is more beneficial to go straight to the source, as this way you can get a more personal interaction with your chosen food suppliers, by selecting the products you need, for example picking out the right cuts of meat, fresh fish and vegetables etc.
When choosing your suppliers you should always query their services and ask for examples of their products. Always meet with them and find out their service history, including testimonials from previous clients. You should always compare prices, so can get a better idea of how much to spend. If price is an issue you should consider cutbacks in other places, rather than going for the cheapest food suppliers - you do not want to lower your food standards and always go for the best.
