Tight jeans are back again. Well, I suppose they have always being around, it’s just for a while they were considered un-cool. They have recently being a hot talking point with fashion experts and many celebrities are running with the latest.

Tight Jeans and Men

First and foremost super-tight jeans as in ball-busting tight are still not cool. They may have being cool in Mick Jaggers heyday, but that was then and this is now. Tight jeans for men aren’t as tight as they used to be, and for good reason - they don’t look masculine. Tight jeans for men should have room for a males anatomy without pinching, particularly when sitting down, shouldn’t come half way up you’re calve muscles when sitting down, and shouldn’t squeeze you’re posterior.

Buy jeans based on the above guidelines and you will look good, but buy jeans which hug you’re legs and you’re likely to look like a cowboy missing his horse if you are masculine enough and wearing boots as opposed to shoes, and for men who don’t exude 100% masculinity you are going to do yourself a great disservice.

Tight Jeans and Women

Tight jeans were made for women. I don’t quite know what it is about them, but the sight of a slender woman with a nice round posterior in tight jeans is a sight to behold. The most popular pairs of tight fitting jeans women can wear are either ones which hug the buttocks, thighs and calves and flare out at the bottom, or ones which hug all the way until they hit the calve where they stop, which look particularly sexy on leggy women with nice rounded calve muscles in high heals. Some jeans also have big turn-ups which are intended to be worn to the same length as the calve-length ones.

An excellent tip for women wishing to wear the short, tight calve-length jeans:

If you wish to make you’re legs look longer, it is advisable high heals are worn and calve-length jeans which don’t have a big turn-up. This breaks up the flow of the leg and can actually make you look shorter than jeans which simply end without a turn-up.

Tight jeans which taper off without a turn up also look great with a good pair of Ugg Boots and will fit comfortably without having uncomfortable excess jean bottoms tucked inside awkwardly.

Ultimately the descision to wear tight jeans is up to you the individual and it should match the style and image you are trying to convey. Unfortunately as normal working individuals we can’t hire fashion consultants so we have to do our best.
